This cosy corner in Kensington is the perfect winter venue to enjoy a good feast and catch up with old friends. It describes itself as Levantine Cusine from the Eastern Mederteranian. Yum. If that isn’t enough to tempt you, it’s sharing plates – which as you know from this post I love.
Zesty apple and mint salads, deliciously rich and tangy slow cooked lamb that falls to pieces and succulent chicken skewers. Served alongside delicious roasted vegetable dishes of pumpkin with tahini, aubergine and almonds or beetroot. And of course, no Middle Eastern meal would be complete without an array of hummuses to choose from and pita bread.
The boys were excited by the Middle Eastern beers and I was sold on the silver goblet I got to drink out of.
We finished the meal off with the most delicious dark chocolate and cherry mousse with a pistachio top served in the cutest cup.
In short, if you love Lebanese food or are an Ottolenghi fan, you won’t be disappointed by Ceru.
